From Aso eki mae station (阿蘇駅前) took the bus up to Asosan Nishi Eki (阿蘇山西駅). Felt sad, evrything was destroyed by the eruption and the gas didn't let me see the scenery. Climbed up in a total fog, on my way back I was able finally to see the spectacular crater!!!
