KAIMON DAKE (924m)

By train from Kagoshima-chuo station (鹿児島中央駅) to Kaimon Station (開聞駅), a local train which offers on the way a wonderful view of Kaimon dake, similar to the Fuji san shape. Walked to the entrance, climbed the rocky hiking path past the ninth station and got a stunning view on the East China Sea, the smoking volcano Sakurajima, Yakushima Island and Kirishima mountain range!!!
